Inspirational Artist, Teacher and Author, Maggie Grey
Friday, May 1st, 2009Aaah, another Brit! I have found that many of my favorite fiber artists are British. They seem to have a large, prolific population of artists dedicated to experimentation in fiber. I think they are doing some of the most interesting fiber work around. Maybe it’s access to all those sheep. Anyway, I am grateful for all of the knowledge I have gleaned from across the pond. I only wish some of them would come across to the States to teach!
I have been following British fiber artist Maggie Grey for years. She has consistently put out some of the most interesting non-traditional fiber technique books I’ve seen (I have many of them), she has a fabulous blog; loaded with pictures and techniques, and wonderful online projects to subscribe to with her Workshop on the Web courses. Warning: you can spend hours looking at all of the information that this talented woman has put out! Enjoy!
