Inspirational Artist, Teacher and Author, Maggie Grey
Aaah, another Brit! I have found that many of my favorite fiber artists are British. They seem to have a large, prolific population of artists dedicated to experimentation in fiber. I think they are doing some of the most interesting fiber work around. Maybe it’s access to all those sheep. Anyway, I am grateful for all of the knowledge I have gleaned from across the pond. I only wish some of them would come across to the States to teach!
I have been following British fiber artist Maggie Grey for years. She has consistently put out some of the most interesting non-traditional fiber technique books I’ve seen (I have many of them), she has a fabulous blog; loaded with pictures and techniques, and wonderful online projects to subscribe to with her Workshop on the Web courses. Warning: you can spend hours looking at all of the information that this talented woman has put out! Enjoy!

That’s part of the beauty of blogging and the internet. They have made the world smaller, so even though your British counterparts are a world away, you can access their insights and knowledge with a click of the mouse! Blogs are a great showcase, and tool, for the artist community.
Thanks, Joanne. It’s one of the things I really appreciate about it, myself. I have friends I’ve never met all over the place 🙂
